Training
lipizzaner maestro

After being awarded open class dressage championships last season, 226 Favory Naussica ‘Maestro’ has travelled five thousand kilometres across Australia to his new trainer, Mrs Nadine Merewether. (‘Niddie”).
Nadine is not a newcomer to those who follow top class dressage in Australia: she was national dressage champion in four States at all levels including Prix St Georges with our first Lipizzaner stallion, Pluto Nima XII that came to us as a green four year old from the Spanish Riding School of Vienna, Austria.
After Pluto was retired, Niddie took on Barrabadeen Troupadore, a Holsteiner stallion.
Niddie and Troupadore raised eyebrows, thrilled spectators and took judges breath away as they proved what a great rider can achieve with a great horse. Tragically, in the face of competing at the Athens Olympics, Troupadore was lost forever and Niddie devastated.
We are not saying that Niddie and Maestro are going to aim at such heights, but Niddie has been willing to take on another good horse and we hope she will have some fun.
